After completion of his Hotel Management Degree from Kolkata, he started his career with Hotel Mughal Sherton, Agra and then shifted to Mumbai in 1998.During his twelve years of processional career, he has got exposure in organizations like Copper Chinmey, China Garden, Indigo and Olive. He has helped in conceptualizing places like Restaurant 5, Rouge Bar and Grill where he was working as a General Manager. He was just 21 when he started his own Regional Food Restaurant by the name of Bervely Chowk. He is having his own Hotel Management Institute, SICM, which has produced many personnel like chef and managers in the industry. Today he heads his own catering company, Cumin

Viraj Churi has been associated with organizations like Olive, Henry Tham and Soul Fry since their inception. After completing his post graduation, he acquired a diploma in Taxation Law from Mumbai University, following which he joined the industry. With 25 years of valuable experience in abroad & in India, he wanted his own spin on food, how to cook, how to present it. Working with restrictions became very annoying and was robbing his skills and passion. He wanted to find a way topair his passion for Asian & work fusion food which he fell in love in after graduating from SICM, Mumbai. He discovered the similarities between culture & cuisine and began experimenting with different cooking methods & traditional ingredients............. and the result is intoxicating delicious exotic flavors coupled with incredibly seductive, beautiful food.
